Dr. Michael Pedram, DDS, MD, is a board certified oral and maxillofacial surgeon committed to delivering exceptional surgical care with compassion, precision, and a personalized approach. Based in Encino, Dr. Pedram specializes in a full scope of oral and maxillofacial procedures with expertise in wisdom teeth removal, complex dental implants, bone/soft tissue grafting, TMJ surgery, and corrective jaw (orthognathic) surgery.

Dr. Pedram earned his dental degree (DDS) from the University of the Pacific Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry with Dean’s Honors, followed by a medical degree (MD) and general surgery internship at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF), where he also completed his oral and maxillofacial surgery residency—one of the most prestigious OMFS training programs in the country. During his time at UCSF as chief resident, Dr. Pedram lead multiple 12+ hour surgeries dedicated to complex reconstructive procedures of the jaw. He was also selected as a surgical fellow of the esteemed Osteo Science Foundation, a distinction that recognizes emerging leaders in regenerative surgery. This combination of academic excellence, surgical depth, and mentorship under nationally recognized surgeons has shaped Dr. Pedram into a confident, compassionate provider focused on delivering outstanding outcomes for every patient.

Dr. Pedram brings a strong surgical background, having trained in one of the nation’s most rigorous oral surgery residencies. His clinical philosophy blends cutting-edge surgical techniques with a deep commitment to patient comfort and long-term outcomes. Whether he is managing complex implant reconstructions or relieving patients from chronic TMJ pain, he takes pride in crafting treatment plans that are both meticulous and tailored to each individual’s needs. Beyond the operating room, Dr. Pedram is known for his approachable demeanor, clear communication style, and collaborative care with referring dentists, orthodontists, and other specialists.

As a Southern California native, Dr. Pedram is thrilled to serve the Encino community he grew up near. Outside of work, he enjoys playing competitive basketball, maintaining a consistent fitness regimen, and traveling with his wife as they enjoy being newlyweds.
