Dr. Katz, Dr. Lokot or Dr. Forney strive to provide the highest quality of care to all of our patients. Their extensive training and decades of surgical experience allows our patients to have superior outcomes and better results. Oral and maxillofacial surgery requires 4-6 additional years of hospital-based surgical and anesthesia training after graduation from a 4 year dental school. This extensive anesthesia training provides them the knowledge, expertise and experience to perform both the surgical and the anesthesia portion of the treatment.

Drs. Katz, Lokot or Forney routinely manage a wide variety of conditions relating to the mouth, teeth, and maxillofacial regions. Drs. Katz, Lokot or Forneyt practice a full scope of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery with expertise ranging from dental implant placement and wisdom tooth removal to complex jaw reconstruction. Drs. Katz, Lokot or Forneyt specialize in minimally invasive extraction and bone grafting as well as the latest advanced in tissue engineering. This also includes a wide variety of other procedures ranging from Tempromandibular Joint (TMJ) treatment to reconstruction of the bone and teeth after cancer or other destructive diseases.

Drs. Katz, Lokot or Forney have also been uniquely trained to follow the principles of Holistic dental and medical treatment which includes being well versed in the Huggins protocol as well as utilizing the latest advances in technology and practice to provide the highest quality of care for our holistic patients.

Dr. Lokot also has extensive experience managing and treating patients with Medication Induced Osteonecrosis of the Jaws (MIONJ/BIONJ) as well as pre and post Head/Neck radiation patients.Drs. Katz, Lokot or Forney utilizes the latest advances and research to provide the highest possible level of care for the most difficult and complex patients.

Surgical Staff

We are very proud to say that ALL of our surgical assistants have all had AT LEAST 20+ years of experience being oral surgery assistants. The surgical staff at West Valley Oral Surgery are all Certified Oral & Maxillofacial Surgical Assistants. They have all had rigorous training to assist the doctors during the surgical and anesthesia portion of the procedures. They assist in the administration of IV sedation and help the doctors monitor the patients during the procedure as well as assist the doctor with the surgery. Our surgical staff are the heart of our practice and look forward to making your treatment an easy and enjoyable process.
